Job summary

The Corporate Institute in the Philippines is seeking a Capex Accountant to help ensure compliant capitalization, accurate recording, and transparent reporting of capital expenditures.

You will verify invoices, coordinate with procurement and project teams for cost allocation, and ensure ERP entries meet Ind AS/IFRS requirements.

This is a hands-on position offering exposure to ERP systems and cross-functional collaboration across finance, operations, and accounting controls.

Responsibilities

• Assist in accurate recording, tracking, capitalization, and reporting of Capex per standards.
• Review Capex invoices and supporting documents for accuracy.
• Coordinate with procurement and project teams for proper cost allocation.
• Track project-wise Capex to identify assets ready for capitalization.
• Verify asset capitalization entries in the ERP in line with Ind AS/IFRS requirements.
• Assist in tracking actual Capex spend against budgets.
• Highlight variances and support budget vs. actual reporting.
• Support statutory, internal, and tax audit requirements related to Capex and fixed assets.
• Liaise with project, procurement, and plant teams for timely updates on Capex transactions.
