This onsite, full-time role focuses on category strategy, supplier relations, and pricing initiatives to ensure product freshness and availability across stores. As Assistant Manager, you will support end-to-end execution, monitor sales, negotiate with suppliers, and uphold strict food safety standards from sourcing to shelf.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Technology, or related field.
• 3–5 years in category management, buying, or merchandising for meat/poultry/egg.
• Retail/Wholesale/FMCG background preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards for fresh/perishable products.
• Strong supplier management and commercial negotiation skills.
• Good analytical ability to translate sales data into category decisions.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Support development and execution of category strategy, assortment planning, and pricing for Butchery and Egg.
• Track sales performance and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
• Assist in supplier sourcing, negotiations, and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Ensure freshness, quality, and food safety from sourcing to store shelf.
• Support pricing strategies, promotions, and monitor competitor pricing.
• Coordinate with Store Operations to ensure proper product handling, display, and rotation, and train staff on food safety compliance.
