Job summary

The Valley Bread is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee daily maintenance at our food production facility in Benguet, Philippines. You will support the Maintenance Manager, lead troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and ensure equipment operates efficiently.

You will implement preventive maintenance schedules, supervise technicians, and maintain records, while upholding safety policies and food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in a food production setting.
• Ability to oversee mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Coordinate with Production, QA, and Warehouse departments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations and ensure all machinery operate efficiently.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to minimize downtime.
• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and review maintenance records.
• Lead troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Conduct root cause analysis for critical equipment breakdowns and verify repairs meet standards.
• Supervise maintenance supervisors, engineers, technicians, and staff; assign tasks.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, GMP, HACCP, and food safety programs.
• Monitor utilities like water purification, HVAC, chillers, electrical systems, and gas lines.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of maintenance materials.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and support audits.

About the role

This role involves overseeing maintenance operations at a food production facility, supporting the Maintenance Manager in ensuring all production machinery and equipment operate efficiently. You will lead troubleshooting activities for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, implement preventive maintenance schedules, supervise maintenance personnel, and ensure compliance with safety and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations and ensure all production machinery and equipment are operating efficiently


• Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to minimize production downtime


• Implement and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and review maintenance records and equipment history


• Lead troubleshooting activities for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems


• Conduct root cause analysis for critical equipment breakdowns and verify that repairs meet operational and safety standards


• Supervise maintenance supervisors, engineers, technicians and maintenance personnel, assign work schedules and maintenance tasks


• Ensure compliance with company safety policies, GMP, HACCP, and food safety programs


• Monitor the operation of utilities including water purification systems, compressed air systems, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical distribution systems, refrigeration systems, and gas line systems


• Monitor spare parts inventory levels and coordinate procurement of maintenance materials and spare parts


• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports, prepare downtime and performance reports, and support internal, customer, and regulatory audits

About you

• Ability to lead troubleshooting activities for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems


• Experience in implementing and monitoring preventive maintenance schedules


• Ability to conduct root cause analysis for critical equipment breakdowns


• Supervisory experience with maintenance personnel


• Knowledge of safety policies, GMP, HACCP, and food safety programs


• Experience monitoring utilities including water purification systems, compressed air systems, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical distribution systems, refrigeration systems, and gas line systems


• Strong documentation and reporting skills


• Ability to coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, and other departments
