Job summary

City Government of Muntinlupa - Government is seeking a finance and accounting professional to lead complex financial operations and ensure accurate reporting. The role involves overseeing general ledger activity, payroll processing, and monthly close processes across multi-entity structures.

The ideal candidate has a BS Accountancy, at least 5 years in finance with supervisory experience, and familiarity with multi-currency environments; CPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS Accountancy graduate.
• Minimum 5 years in finance/accounting roles.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
• CPA is a plus; multi-entity/multi-currency environment desirable.
• 1 year of BPO or multinational experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Reviews all source documents for completeness and correctness; sends queries if needed.
• Reviews invoices, payroll reports and journal entries in Xero and Sage 200.
• Reviews monthly aging receivable reports.
• Monitors allocations for company credit and expense cards; ensures receipts filed.
• Reviews daily cash reports and monthly bank reconciliations.
• Collects and prepares monthly payroll information for external payroll providers.
• Prepares month-end schedules and posts month-end entries.
• Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles GL accounts.
• Reconciles intercompany receivables and payables.
• Prepares monthly financial reports and analyses for management.
• Maintains communication with counterparts and support groups.
• Prepares schedules/reports for external audit and compliance.
• Assists Financial Controller in related duties.
