Job summary

The City Government of Muntinlupa seeks an experienced accountant to perform end-to-end general accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting for clients. You will prepare income tax returns, BAS/IAS, prepare year-end statements, and support reconciliations using Xero or similar software.

Responsibilities include data entry, bank reconciliations, client communications, and maintaining accurate records while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field required.
• At least 3 years of Australian end-to-end accounting experience.
• Good working knowledge of Australian tax law and compliance.
• Experience preparing tax returns, BAS, and financial statements.
• Xero experience preferred; other platforms welcomed.

Responsibilities

• A. Tax Compliance: Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• A. Tax Compliance: Prepare and lodge BAS and IAS returns.
• B. Financial Reporting: Prepare year-end financial statements and supporting workpapers.
• C. Bookkeeping & General Accounting: Data entry, bank reconciliations, journal processing.
• D. Client Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather records and clarify information.
• E. Software Use: Work with Xero, MYOB, Reckon, or similar accounting software.
