Job summary

MVP Asia Pacific Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Assistant Accountant to support monthly manufacturer reporting, manage data flow from the general ledger to manufacturers' reports, and ensure timely completion by the 15th of each month.

The role covers balance sheet reconciliations, journal processing, and month-end reporting using PMDS (Auto-IT) and Excel, requiring attention to detail and strong communication to coordinate with manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant or in a similar accounting role.
• Experience with general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience in month-end reporting and journal preparation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing financial data to the majority of the company's manufacturers on a monthly basis.
• Upload trial balance data to designated manufacturer reporting portals, ensuring figures are accurately mapped from the general ledger to the manufacturers' financial reports.
• Ensure the completion of manufacturer reporting requirements, in accordance with deadlines advised by each manufacturer, generally by the 15th of each month.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts including factory receivables, finance and insurance receivables, sublets, etc.
• Review general ledger accounts to identify entries that have not been paid / cleared and determine next course of action (e.g., following up payment, determining that the amount needs to be written off because it was incorrectly processed).
• Process standard journals and prepare monthly management reports.
• Utilise the company's internal management system, PMDS (Auto-IT), to support the preparation of management reports.
• Extract data from PMDS (Auto-IT) and reformat information in Microsoft Excel.
