Job summary

Cohu, Inc. in the Philippines is seeking an Assembly Technician responsible for building kits and spares to meet delivery dates, using drawings and standard tools.

You will perform in-process and final inspections, conduct basic testing to verify device functionality, and follow assembly procedures and work instructions for accuracy and safety. The role requires maintaining 5S in the work area, reporting equipment malfunctions, printing essential documents, and logging job completion in the shop

Qualifications

• Ability to read assembly drawings and use required tools.
• Attention to quality and safety standards.
• Willingness to follow procedures and work instructions.
• Strong 5S discipline and problem solving for minor malfunctions.
• Experience with documentation printing and record-keeping.
• Familiarity with Oracle shop clock or similar logging systems.

Responsibilities

• Assembles all kinds of kits and spares to deliver based on target delivery date, using assembly aid drawings and required tools.
• Performs in-process and final inspection; conducts basic functionality testing of devices in accordance with quality and safety standards using check sheets and MSDS/SDS data sheets.
• Participates with supervisor to formulate new rules and procedures using assembly procedures and work instructions.
• Maintains performance level and corrects minor equipment and tooling malfunctions; performs 5S in work areas before, during and after work.
• Prints documents such as assembly aid drawings and check sheets as required by the procedure.
• Posts job accomplishments in Shop Clock Oracle to reflect real-time usage.

1. Assembles all kinds of kits and spares that are required to deliver based on the target delivery date with
quality assembled part using assembly aid drawing and required tools.
2. Performs in-process and final inspection, can do functionality checks and testing of device for kits and
spares in accordance with the established assembly quality and safety standard using assembly part
check sheet and MSDS/SDS data sheet.
3. Participates/cooperates with his superior in formulating new rules and procedures to make us effective
and efficient using written assembly procedure and work instruction.
4. Maintains a level of performance as required by his / her position level. Determine and correct minor
equipment and tooling malfunctions and perform 5S in his work area/s before, during and after work.
5. Prints documents such as assembly aid drawing, check sheet, etc. as required in the procedure.
6. Posts job accomplishment in Shop clock Oracle to get the real time used.
