Job summary

Metrobank in Cebu City seeks a Junior Officer to support the Credit Investigation & Appraisal group. You will supervise CI/Appraisers, review and approve collateral appraisal reports, and monitor the appraisal flow within the prescribed turnaround times.

The role requires fieldwork, accuracy, and collaboration with senior staff. The position expects a Bachelor’s degree and a licensed appraisal credential, with at least 3 years in banking credit investigation and appraisal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and licensed appraiser are required.
• At least 3 years of experience in Credit Investigation and Appraisal.
• Extensive experience in credit investigation and appraisal in banking.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery.
• Willing to conduct fieldwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist in policy making on matters affecting collaterals, property valuation.
• Oversee unit function and monitor implementation of Credit Policies and Procedures.
• Conduct ocular inspection and verification of collateral/property appraised.
• Lead training of new appraisers, ODP candidates and OJT.
• Ensure timely submission of residential property appraisals to BSP.
• Maintain appraisal and credit records in the system.

Job Summary

• Renders expert opinion on properly values and assists the Department Head of CRIAD Consumer in supervising team of CI/Appraisers.
• Ensures efficient monitoring of the appraisal process to ensure compliance with the prescribed TAT
• Maintains good quality of review and manages the appraisal requirements of Wholesale and Retail Divisions of Consumer Lending Group.

Role Exposure

• Assists the Department Head in the supervision of CRIAD Consumer.
• Review, validates and approves various consumer appraisal reports.
• Validates appraisal reports in the ILAPS
• Ensure an acceptable quality of work and reports are submitted within TAT
• Assists the Department Head in the supervision of the Credit Investigation and
• Reviews, validates and approves the following reports within his authority:
• Internal Appraisal Reports
• Project Accreditation Reports
• BOM Validation Report
• Other reports generated by the unit.
• Ensures quality output / production reports from the CI/Appraisers.
• Perform the following task in ILAPS:
• Assigning/Re-Assigning of accounts to CI-Appraisers for appraisal and field C.I

Activities

• Assist in policy making on matters affecting collaterals, property valuation, and
• Assist the Department Head in overseeing the function of the unit and monitor implementation of pertinent Credit Policies and Procedures.

• Conducts ocular inspection and verification of collateral / property appraised when
• Conducts regular meeting with subordinates to ensure efficient servicing to our clients.

• Conducts training of new appraisers, ODP candidates and OJT.
• Ensure timely submission of residential property appraised to BSP.
• Monitors and request supplies & equipment used and needed by the Department.
• Administration of the Credit Appraisal System (CAS) and maintenance of appraisal, credit records, and information data in the system.

• Performs other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate Management, Engineering, or any Business- related course
• Must be a Licensed Real Estate Appraiser
• With at least 3 years of experience in Credit Investigation and Appraisal
• Extensive experience of credit investigation and appraisal in the banking industry
• Strong analytical, decision-making and stakeholder management skills
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely delivery of operations within prescribed turnaround times
• Willing to conduct fieldwork
