Job summary

vibehackers seeks a Forward Deployed Software Engineer (Applied AI) to design, build, and deploy AI agents, integrations, and knowledge-graph solutions that connect DevRev to customers’ systems. The role blends hands-on engineering with collaboration across product, engineering, and customer teams.

The candidate will gather requirements, run demos, and deliver deployed solutions, with 3+ years in software or platform engineering and deep knowledge of LLMs, RAG, and MCP-style integrations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Applied AI knowledge: LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and agent evals.
• Integration experience with REST/GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven architectures.
• Cloud/deployment experience with serverless/edge platforms and modern DevOps practices.
• Data transformation: mapping, schema alignment, data modeling, and graph data structures.
• Observability: logging, error surfacing, telemetry for debugging.
• Familiarity with Model Context Programming for context-aware integrations.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers (~30% facing) to gather requirements and demos.
• Hands-on coding and integration (70–80%): build apps and automations on the DevRev platform.
• Build and maintain Knowledge Graph; integrate with SaaS/non-SaaS via APIs and webhooks.
• Design, build, and launch AI agents; apply prompt engineering for performance.
• Write SQL, perform data analysis, and build dashboards for insights.
• Prototype rapid proofs-of-concept and run live technical demos.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across engineering, product, and customer teams.
• Guide customers through technical adoption and advanced configurations.
• Be travel-ready up to 30% for on-site implementations and workshops.
