Job summary

Partners Group is seeking an Application Specialist to join our Manila-based team, focusing on improving the quality and reliability of business applications. You will contribute to smooth production transitions, drive automation, and collaborate with global peers in a fast-paced, international environment.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, 5 years in a similar function, and excellent stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field.
5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry.
Proficient in relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server; Snowflake a plus).
Strong communication with stakeholders and customer service mindset.
Experience in support and operations (Incident and problem management).
Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence or similar tools.
Strong agile delivery with release management and engineering exposure.
Ability to balance multiple operations/projects with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Ensure smooth transition of application features from development to production environments.
Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimize service operations.
Automate existing manual activities to improve delivery.
Resolve data & application issues in a timely manner.
Run/lead small to mid-sized operations projects.
Onboard new joiners and foster team collaboration.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders during incident management.
Build domain knowledge and identify areas for self-development.
Own at least one operational activity in the platform.

We're looking for an Application Specialist to bring their curiosity and drive for improvement to our team in Manila. You'll be part of a globally connected team, working within our Business Platforms agile operating model alongside colleagues around the world. This role is a great fit for someone who's genuinely passionate about technology, energized by continuous improvement, and always on the lookout for smarter ways to eliminate inefficiencies.

Productivity and Quality

Ensure smooth and quality-assured transition of application features from development to production environments
Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations
Actively develop the automation of existing manual activities to achieve a higher and consistent level of business application service delivery to business end-users
Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving data & application related issues in a timely manner
Run/Lead small to mid-sized projects related to operations

Collaboration

Actively engage in onboarding of new joiners and foster collaboration among peers within the team
Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management
Proactively establish and maintain good working relationships with business users and platform team members
Increasingly interact with mid-level business leaders to align on their business application priorities related to operations

Leadership

Develop excellent platform and business application know-how
Proactively build up subject matter expertise and identify areas for further self-development
Be a process owner for at least one operational activity in the platform
Manage escalations related to operational topics in the platform

Compliance

Complete all compliance obligations and trainings in a timely manner, if applicable along with guiding team members to do the same
Thoroughly understand and coach junior colleagues on the compliance, security and operational responsibilities in your area of work
Work with the platform to ensure adherence to Partners Group’s policies

What We Expect

Must have

Degree in technology, software engineering or related quantitative field
5 years of experience in similar role, preferably in technology and/or financial industry
Proficient in working on relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake is a plus)
Able to communicate well with stakeholders and has a customer service mindset
Experience in support and operations (Incident and problem management)
Experience in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
Proven ability to balance and prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
Accurate, effective, and independent working style
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and confidently interact with business users
Very good language skills in English (written/oral)
