Job summary

Straive in the Philippines is seeking a skilled Application Operations Specialist to ensure smooth business application service operations, resolve incidents promptly, and oversee transitions from development to production. You will drive continuous improvement, assist in automating manual tasks, and communicate effectively with stakeholders while managing escalations.

Experience with databases, incident management, Agile frameworks, and release management will help you excel.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have hands-on experience with enterprise-grade databases and incident management.
• Experience with Agile frameworks (Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM) and delivery release processes.
• Ability to balance multiple operations and projects with attention to detail.
• Familiarity with AI concepts or ongoing self-learning in AI domains.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Ensure smooth business application service operations by resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Facilitate smooth transition of application features from development to production environments.
• Actively develop continuous improvement initiatives and optimization of business application service operations.
• Assist in the automation of existing manual activities to improve the consistency and efficiency of business application service delivery to end users.
• Effectively communicate to stakeholders as part of incident/problem management.
• Manage escalations related to operational topics.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proficient in relational databases (preferably Microsoft SQL Server, Snowflake is a plus)
• Experience with incident and problem management
• Good understanding or have gained experience on at least one common Enterprise Agile Framework e.g., Kanban, SAFe, SCRUM, etc.
• Strong in agile delivery, with release management experience and engineering exposure
• Proven ability to balance & prioritize multiple operations/projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
• Experience or active personal learning in Artificial Intelligence

Nice to have:

• Knowledge in cloud services, preferably AWS
• Knowledge in CI/CD Pipelines and Tools (GitLab, Jenkins, Etc.)
• Experience in supporting SaaS systems (e.g. SAP)
• Knowledge in programming languages, Java and Python
• Experience in using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or other similar tools
