Job summary

Beckhoff Philippines is seeking an Application Engineer for a 24-month contract to support automation projects with PLC, HMI, and motion control expertise. You will deliver customer-specific programs, perform demonstrations, and provide on-site support across the Philippines.

You will report to the applications manager, develop technical skills, and engage in tests, trainings, and customer interactions, with potential conversion to a full-time role after successful completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in automation/mechatronics/electrical/electronic engineering or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in technical and application support, preferably in factory automation.
• Experience in programming PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and fieldbus systems.
• Familiar with IEC 61131-3 (with object-oriented extensions).
• Willing to travel to provide on-site support (own vehicle preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support Sales by answering technical questions on Beckhoff solutions.
• Provide consultation on automation solutions based on customer needs.
• Provide technical support during projects and after sales (testing, commissioning, troubleshooting).
• Conduct standard and customized training sessions for customers/partners.
• Participate in Beckhoff seminars/exhibitions/events; share information on technology/functions.
• Support customers across the Philippines as needed.

This role is suitable for motivated engineers with 2-4 years of experience in PLC, HMI, and motion control applications and are interested in delivering customer-specific example programs, technical demonstrations, and application support for advanced automation technologies, all oriented around Beckhoff automation solutions.

You will report directly to the application manager and will hone essential technical skills, refine your problem-solving capabilities, and strengthen your customer-facing communication skills, which are required to succeed in the industry.

Upon successful completion of the 24-month employment contract, you will be considered for conversion to a full-time permanent position if you deliver a strong performance, technical capability, strong team alignment, and a good overall fit with the team.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• bachelor's degree in automation/mechatronics/electrical/electronic engineering or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in technical and application support, preferably in the factory automation industry
• experience in programming PLC, HMI, SCADA systems, and fieldbus systems
• familiar with programming languages: IEC 61131-3 (with object-oriented extensions)
• naturally curious and enthusiastic about technology
• must be a team player and willing to travel to provide on-site support (ideally, you have your own vehicle)
