Job summary

IPAT Micro Systems Inc. is seeking a computer engineer or application engineer to deliver production computer systems for the automation process industry.

The role focuses on industrial automation software and systems and requires hands-on work with PC/Server hardware, networks, and PLC/HMI/DCS/SCADA concepts. The candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in electronics or computer engineering and be willing to travel to client sites locally or abroad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, instrumentation, computer engineering, mechatronics or similar.
• Experience with PC/Server hardware and networks.
• Familiarity with PLC, HMI, DCS/SCADA; PLC programming is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Studio Management Tool.

We are looking for a computer engineer or an application engineer to join our team. As a computer engineer you will be responsible for delivering production computers systems used for the automation process industry.

This role will gain the successful applicant the skills needed to perform:

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to successfully perform this role.

• Experienced in both PC Hardware and Server Hardware
• Experienced in network switches/firewall.
• Able to work with Microsoft Server OS.
• Familiar with PLC, HMI, DCS/SCADA
• PLC programming is an advantage.
• Must have minimal knowledge in Microsoft SQL Database. Usage of the Studio Management Tool.
• Knowledge on OPC Process Communications technology is an advantage.
• Minimum of a bachelors degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering or computer engineering, mechatronics, or similar field.
• Have a career passion in industrial automation systems and computer systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and perform complex system tests.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to communicate well with other members of the development team.

Hiring Requirements
