Job summary

Rohde & Schwarz Philippines is seeking a qualified engineer to provide application support for a broad portfolio of test and measurement equipment. The role includes technical support via hotline, customer visits, and on-site training to help customers deploy and optimize products.

The candidate will work closely with Sales, Application, and Business Development teams to tailor solutions for regional markets and translate client needs into actionable specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering or technical equivalent.
• 3–5 years of site service experience for Telecommunication or Test & Measurement products.
• Strong knowledge of test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers).
• Ability to translate client requirements into technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel and work at customer sites.

• Provide basic application support for Rohde & Schwarz equipment.
• Deliver technical support via hotline, customer visits, and training.
• Assist Sales, Application team and BD in adapting products for regional markets.
• Develop product applications and generate application notes/sheets.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Managers on product roadmap and issues.

Job description

Your tasks

• General support for basic R&S equipment with the application and support team
• Provide product application support including technical support hotline, customer visits & training
• Help Sales, the Application team and Business Development team in the region to bridge application knowledge and adapt product into market-oriented solution
• Work closely with Global Marketing, and Business Development to create application and sales content to support sales force
• Develop product applications & generate application notes / sheets to broadcast usage models that could benefit internal team and customers
• Analyze and provide customized solutions, including customized software, for customers to be able to operate and integrate our product to their purposes
• Liaise with R&D & Product Managers to review product and its roadmap to ensure product market acceptance
• Verify product issues reported by Sales & Application Team. Duplicate and elevate FW & design issues if not readily solvable
• Support basic application for all products of the portfolio
• Perform any ad-hoc duties or responsibilities as assigned

Your qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronics Engineering or Technical degree equivalent.
• 3-5 years working experience and 3 year of site service experience for Telecommunication or Test and Measurement related products and system.
• Technical background with good understanding of Test and Measurement products and system. Examples are but not limited to Digital Oscilloscopes, Analog/Vector Signal Generators, Power Analyzers, Power Sensors, Vector Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, EMC Receivers, EMC/OTA Test Systems etc.
• Presentation, Interpersonal and facilitation techniques.
• Flexibility and willingness to work as a team member.
• Knowledge of MS Office standard applications: MS Excel, Words, Power Point and MS Team.
• Willing to travel and work under pressure on customer site
• Has a valid Philippine Driver’s License and familiar in Philippine Roads/Rules
• Software Development & Integration: Design, code, and test customized applications to ensure they seamlessly integrate with existing systems. Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, C++), software architecture, and system integration.
• Troubleshoot software/hardware issues, provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, and resolve bugs/issues
• Able to identify specific client requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
• Act as the technical liaison connecting sales, marketing, and the core development/engineering teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and product manuals.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities to deal directly with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Strong analytical capabilities to diagnose complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.
