2GO Group in Pasay is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to mentor junior developers, code, test, and deploy across multiple projects. You will collaborate with senior developers and project leads, participating in all phases of the software development lifecycle.

You will maintain and enhance existing applications, write clean code, conduct tests, and produce clear technical documentation. Experience in logistics or supply chain systems is a plus, with a strong emphasis on code quality and

• 5–10 years of software development experience.
• Experience in sea travel, sea freight, logistics, supply chain systems preferred.

Here’s the difference you’ll make

You are to mentor Junior Developers, work under the guidance of the senior developers and project leads. Involved in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Complies with policies and procedures in performance of role.

Write clean, efficient and reliable codes, conduct testing and debugging, and deployment referencing key technical documents to provide clarity, requirements and context to the required development work.

What You’ll Do

• Develop functional, scalable code for assigned application systems, adhering to the department’s technology stack to maintain consistency and efficiency across projects.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code based on approved designs, user stories, and other defined specifications, following best practices and coding standards of the department.
• Maintain and enhance assigned existing applications, identify opportunities for performance improvements.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing and debugging to ensure applications are reliable and bug-free.
• Create and maintain technical documentations for applications. Write clear, concise documentation and follow code versioning and branching best practices.
• Work closely with team leads, other developers to define and clarify requirements and deliver user-focused solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, seek feedback and address review findings.
• Keep abreast of emerging and relevant technologies, tools and trends to recommend improvements to development processes.
• Maintain technical documentation for applications, including architecture, design and user guide.
• Maybe assigned to a number of projects as needed.
• Build and exhibit technical and functional knowledge of assigned objects, modules, applications
• When applicable, adhere to cost and schedule requirements of the assigned work.
• Provide input to estimate the assigned work.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Source code push to repository, if applicable (e.g. GitHub)
• Follows development, coding standards (refer to Code Standards Document)
• Documented (code comments)
• Dependencies updated (no deprecated libraries)
• Unit Tests Coverage (≥80% coverage)
• Integration Tests (API/DB/service calls validated)
• Test Reports (generated), Forms /UI and other assigned objects/functionalities/modules.
• Executes Peer Review and implements Peer Review Results (if applicable)

Security & Compliance

• Data Privacy: Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., DPA) and implement proper encryption, access controls, and anonymization where applicable.
• Sensitive Data Protection: Secure handling of passwords, PII, and confidential data using hashing, secure storage, and least-privilege access principles.

You’ll thrive in this role if you

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (or any equivalent IT or engineering degree)
• At least five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in software development
• Experience in sea travel, sea freight, logistics, supply chain systems preferred
