Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist - APAC in the Philippines to ensure timely posting of payments, bank reconciliations, and accurate AR activities for our entities.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, 3+ years in AR/ cash application, strong SAP Finance and Excel skills, and keen analytical and stakeholder management abilities; Mandarin is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Banking and Finance or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, Collections, or General Accounting in a shared services or BPO environment.
• Strong knowledge of AR processes, cash application, bank reconciliation, intercompany transactions and collections.
• Experience with SAP Finance and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication, customer-service orientation and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Responsibilities

• Process and allocate incoming and outgoing payments to customer, vendor, bank and general ledger accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations, clear bank transfer accounts and execute intercompany transactions.
• Manage collections including customer follow-ups, dunning, statement runs and bad debt-related transactions.
• Execute and review risk and control activities related to unallocated payments, overdue receivables and AR controls.
• Support month-end and year-end activities, including audit requirements and balance confirmations.
