Insight is seeking an AP Analyst to support a high-volume Accounts Payable team. The role focuses on account analysis, quality control, approvals, dispute resolution, and boosting accuracy with AI-powered AP technologies.

The AP Analyst specializes in various AP functions. Performing account analysis, invoice quality control, verifying approvals, and dispute/error resolution in support of a high-volume Accounts Payable team.
The role leverages AI-powered Accounts Payable technologies to improve invoice processing accuracy, validate system predictions, manage automation exceptions, support continuous process improvement, and drive operational efficiency within the Procure-to-Pay process.
Quality Control – Responsible for ensuring proper coding and approvals are adhered to, researching, and clearing GL’s, resolving past due and discrepancy invoicing, completing analysis, and making recommendations to leaders.
Review AP accounts for inaccurate data and untimely entries, identify errors and their causes, and report analysis to management.
Appraise AP workflows daily for proper functioning, pacesetting, and accuracy.
Analyze quality control data and generate reporting for team management.
Team with managers to develop meaningful analysis of department efficiency.
Assist managers within Partner Accounting with periodic internal and external audits.
Analyze ad hoc reports as requested by management.
Monitor and resolve exceptions generated by AP automation platforms and workflow systems.
Analyze automation performance trends and identify opportunities to increase touchless processing rates.
Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for AP automation tools, ERP enhancements, EDI processes, and system integrations.
Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve end-to-end Accounts Payable processes.
Support continuous improvement efforts through data analysis, root cause identification, and corrective action recommendations.
Participate in system implementations, upgrades, and transformation projects impacting Accounts Payable operations.
Monitor AP workflow queues, exception reports, and productivity metrics to ensure adherence to service level expectations.
Receive reports and communications from vendors and other partners, identify errors and potential disputes, develop resolutions, and communicate these to management.
Communicate with vendors and other partners regarding errors and disputes, develop resolutions, and implement these as directed.
Verify invoice approvals are within the appropriate thresholds.
Other Analysis – Complete other analysis in support of primary responsibilities, Accounts Payable team, or as otherwise assigned by management. May include:
Assist with financial and operational audits.
Support vendors, clients, and other partners with process improvements, respond to inquiries, and provide an AP contact as designated.
GL Research and Reconciliation
Other analysis as requested.
Review preliminary payment runs for accuracy and potential issues.
Identify and communicate issues and potential financial risk with Supervisor/Manage
Understanding and analyzing Accounts Payable accounting entries, transactions, and related adjustments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 4 years’ experience within Accounts Payable role is required.
Demonstrated strong communication and written skills.
Experience in research, quality control, or statistical analysis.
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience with ERP systems, such SAP or Workday or Netsuite preferred.
Ability to read and interpret general business reports, technical procedures, and accounting entries.
Ability to draft reports and/or business correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, clients, and Teammates.
Experience with document control and retention
Experience working in a global environment
Experience with system conversions
Ability to work fast phase environments and handle multiple priorities
