Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG), part of Advocate Health, is hiring a Medical Assistant to support the care team in ambulatory settings. This full-time role is 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday, 7 am–5:30 pm in the Aurora, WI area.

You will welcome patients, take vital signs, assist with exams, administer medications and vaccines, run lab tests, document in the EHR, and coordinate care with physicians and nurses to ensure a compassionate, safe patient experience.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 45 days if not already on file.
• GED or HS Equivalency Diploma or MA program completion.
• Either MA program completion or 2 years of verifiable MA experience within last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to deliver coordinated care.
