• Proven professional experience in air freight forwarding, specifically with hands-on expertise in Air Import operations (Air Export experience is strongly preferred).
• Exceptional organizational skills and high attention to detail to manage time-sensitive cargo and documentation queues.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for effective international liaison with agents and clients.
• Proficiency in logistics software, enterprise TMS platforms, and Microsoft Office applications.

• Coordinate end-to-end air import shipments including flight booking, MAWB/HAWB issuance, documentation review, and cargo tracking.
• Collaborate with airlines, ground handlers, and overseas agents to secure space allocations and monitor flight status.
• Review and verify invoices, packing lists, and shipping docs for customs compliance.
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and government agencies to avoid delays or penalties.
• Handle pre-alerts, arrival notices, and delivery orders to schedule final delivery.
• Maintain real-time logs, milestones, and shipment management systems.
• Provide proactive customer service and status updates, resolving transit issues promptly.
• Support air export operations and cross-functional logistics workflows as needed.

Position Description

The Air Freight Import Specialist coordinates and manages the end-to-end execution of air freight shipments, with a primary focus on import operations, customs clearance, and global forwarding logistics. This role serves as the central point of contact for air cargo movements, coordinating closely with airlines, overseas agents, trucking providers, and customers to ensure smooth, compliant, and timely freight transit from origin to final destination.

Functions

• Manage the complete lifecycle of air import shipments, including flight booking, master/house airway bill (MAWB/HAWB) issuance, documentation review, and cargo tracking.

• Coordinate with airlines, ground handlers, and overseas agents to secure space allocations, monitor flight status, and expedite cargo arrivals.

• Review and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents to ensure full compliance with customs regulations and import requirements.

• Coordinate customs clearance processes with brokers and government agencies to prevent clearance delays or storage penalties.

• Handle pre-alerts, arrival notices, and delivery orders, ensuring prompt dispatch and final delivery scheduling.

• Maintain accurate operational logs, milestone trackers, and shipment management systems in real time.

• Provide proactive customer service and status updates, resolving transit exceptions or delays swiftly.

• Support air export operations and cross-functional logistics workflows as business needs require.
