Job summary

Expeditors International in Manila is seeking an Air Export professional to ensure timely and accurate movement of freight, while delivering exceptional customer service in the Air Export Department.

You will contribute to smooth freight processes, data accuracy in systems, and timely communications with overseas partners and customers, while maintaining compliance and striving for process improvements and KPI achievement.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience or training in air export.
• Understanding of air documentation process is a plus.
• Effective interpersonal skills, including listening and clear communication.
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Enter data accurately into the operational system.
• Track and trace Air Export files and reporting.
• Communicate arrival notices to overseas and customers.
• Bill clients and service providers accurately and timely.
• Interact with customers to arrange international shipments.
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers (airline carriers, trucking companies).
• Meet regulatory compliance requirements and internal procedures.
• Look for ways to improve department processes and productivity.
• Ensure customers SOPs are up to date and KPI standards are met.

Job Description

Scope of Position

Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing exceptional customer service within the Air Export Department.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Air Export files and reporting
• Use Workflows on daily basis
• Ensure arrival notices are communicated to overseas and customers
• Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing
• Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards
• Contribute to maintaining good relationships with suppliers (Airline carriers, trucking companies and others involved)
• Meet compliance at all times with internal and external regulations in accordance with government regulations
• Understand department process flow, looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity
• Ensure all customers standard operating procedures are in place and updated
• Meet KPI standards in accordance with the Company's procedure
• Overseas communications, timely responses to emails and requests (internal and external)

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Understanding of air documentation process a plus
• Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
• Pro-active, strong organizational skills
