Job summary

TaskUs is seeking a Senior Associate Project Manager for AI Safety Services. You will oversee end-to-end, data-focused projects, coordinating engineers, data scientists, annotators, and stakeholders across remote teams.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years managing AI/data projects, strong Agile/Scrum/Kanban experience, and a proven ability to translate technical details to non-technical partners while driving SOPs and KPIs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing technical projects or operations in AI data, or software domains.
• Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum or Kanban workflows (JIRA, Asana, Linear, or similar).
• Proven record of delivering projects with distributed or remote-first teams.
• Comfort translating between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project-management excellence: scoping, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder comms.
• Lightweight scripting: Python or similar for automation, data manipulation, and report generation.
• SQL & dashboards: query data warehouses and build KPI views.
• Tool savvy: familiarity with annotation platforms (Label Studio, Labelbox) and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Process mindset: design SOPs/playbooks and iterate quickly based on feedback.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end execution from scoping to deployment hand-off.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams: engineers, annotators, data scientists, GTM leads, and client stakeholders.
• Build & automate workflows: create Asana projects; script Python/SQL jobs for metrics and QC checks.
• Track & report KPIs: timelines, throughput, quality, margin, and resource utilisation.
• Drive continuous improvement: identify bottlenecks, run retros, SOP updates.
• Maintain artefacts: SOWs, RACI charts, risk registers, knowledge-base pages.
• Front-row seat: Work with cutting-edge AI teams solving safety challenges.
• Growth runway: Define best-practice ops for scaling business.
• Mission first: Ensure AI systems are safe, fair, and effective.
