Job summary

Gratitude Philippines seeks an Associate Manager to lead strategic growth initiatives within its AI and data offerings. You will provide practical legal guidance as new tech services are evaluated, developed, and prepared for market, coordinating with business leaders, contracting teams, and global stakeholders.

The role focuses on advising on AI, software, SaaS, and related contract structures, while aligning legal risk with commercial goals and regulatory developments.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent graduate law degree.
• Bar admission in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience.
• Experience advising on AI, software, technology, or other non-transactional legal matters.
• Knowledge of SaaS, software licensing, and AI-related contract structures.
• Ability and willingness to learn applicable AI, Data, technology, and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of commercial and business considerations.
• Ability to work with US time zones.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with global and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Support AI & Data business by assessing new services and product offerings and providing product counsel as offerings move toward commercialization.
• Develop subject-matter expertise in AI and Data and serve as a key legal contact for business and asset teams.
• Collaborate with legal teams covering Resale, Strategic Partnering, IP, Data Privacy, Regulatory, and Contracting.
• Support contracting teams as a product counsel and subject-matter expert on playbooks, templates, and selected deal support.
• Assist legal and business teams with evaluation of prospective AI & Data acquisition targets.
• Conduct legal research relating to emerging technologies and regulatory developments.
• Support development and improvement of legal processes, tools, guidance materials, workplans, and leadership presentations.
• Monitor emerging legal and regulatory developments involving LLMs, Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Data.
• Help transform complex legal and technology issues into practical guidance for business stakeholders.
