Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services Singapore Pte Ltd seeks a Specialist, Engineering - Welding to own welding processes, govern engineering standards, and drive continuous improvement in a high‑reliability aerospace environment. The role interfaces with Engineering, Production, Quality, and EMS to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

The incumbent leads process development, qualification, and troubleshooting, while ensuring certifications and documentation meet NADCAP and AWS D17.1

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years in industrial welding, preferably aerospace.
• Solid knowledge of welding standards, NADCAP and AWS D17.1.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME and engineering authority for welding processes.
• Develop, review, and approve welding parameters and methods.
• Ensure weld repair validations meet NADCAP, Rolls-Royce and AWS D17.1.
• Verify welder certifications per AWS D17.1.
• Lead tooling design to improve productivity and process capability.
• Review drawings and technical docs to support manufacturing and repair.
• Drive development and optimisation of welding processes for quality and safety.
• Provide technical support for welding-related manufacturing issues.
• Contribute to audits and CAPA for welding-related findings.
• Support HSE standards and zero-harm initiatives.
