Job summary

AXA Philippines in Makati is seeking a Director to lead Actuarial Valuation, Capital Management and Performance Reporting, ensuring accuracy of financial statements and optimal capital use. You will work with Life Chief Actuary, regulators, and auditors, guiding data input, valuation results, and actuarial provisions across PFRS4 and IFRS17.

The role manages a 10-12 person team, partners with Finance, Underwriting, Risk Management and executives, driving strategic insights, product profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Fellow of the SOA or UK Institute of Actuaries (or equivalent).
• 8–10 years in life insurance actuarial roles with leadership experience.
• Strong modeling, valuation, and risk management capabilities.
• Experience with ORSA/ICAAP and regulatory reporting.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead data input, valuation results, and technical provisions for financial statements (PFRS4/IFRS17).
• Oversee actuarial reports for regulatory submissions (AVR, RBC, QSR, AS, ORSA).
• Lead capital allocation to optimize shareholder value while maintaining solvency.
• Prepare financial and operational actuarial reports for stakeholders.
• Direct business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Provide deep analyses of product profitability and risk exposures.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing actuarial team.
• Coordinate with regulator and auditors; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Underwriting, Risk Management and executives.
