NRI in Manila is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to manage supplier invoices, expense claims and timely payments. You will maintain supplier records, support month-end close and ensure compliance with policies and controls.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in accounts payable, finance or business administration.
• Sound understanding of invoice processing, supplier reconciliations and payment procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to financial accuracy.
• Ability to prioritise workloads, meet deadlines and manage competing tasks effectively.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Review, verify and process supplier invoices and employee expense claims accurately and within agreed timeframes.
• Match invoices to purchase orders, contracts and receiving documentation, investigating any discrepancies before processing.
• Ensure invoices are appropriately authorised, coded and supported by relevant documentation in accordance with company policies and approval limits.
• Prepare and process supplier payments through approved payment methods, including bank transfers and electronic payment platforms.
• Monitor payment due dates and payment schedules to support timely settlement and avoid late fees or disruption to supplier relationships.
• Maintain accurate supplier master data and update vendor details in accordance with established verification and control procedures.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment queries and account issues professionally and promptly.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate and resolve outstanding, duplicate or incorrectly recorded transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, payment runs, supplier communications and supporting documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including accounts payable reconciliations, accruals and review of outstanding invoices.
• Prepare accounts payable reports and provide relevant analysis or updates on payment status and outstanding items.
• Support internal and external audits by providing timely and accurate documentation and explanations.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, financial controls, accounting procedures and confidentiality requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable processes, controls, reporting and overall efficiency.
