Job summary

Firefly Electric and Lighting Corporation (FELCO) seeks an Accounting Associate in Manila, on-site, within the Finance - Accounting Team. You will handle payment requests, maintain records, and support month-end close while ensuring policy compliance.

The role requires a BS in Accountancy or related coursework, SAP/ERP familiarity, and strong Excel/Sheets skills, with fresh graduates eligible for consideration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or any accounting related courses.
• Fresh graduates with internship experience in Accounts Payable.
• Familiar in SAP or any similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).
• Proficiency in Excel and/or google sheet for sorting and organizing data.
• Flexibility and agility to take on additional tasks as required.
• Communication and interpersonal skills to respond effectively to inquiries and deliver information to stakeholders.
• Analytical skills and attention to details in processing data to identify any inconsistencies.

Responsibilities

• Receiving, validating and processing payments requests to ensure compliance with accounting policies and standards.
• Recording accurately and making necessary adjustments for any discrepancies and errors.
• Providing updates to requesters on the status of their payment requests and sending notifications and documentation to recipients.
• Supporting the Tax group by providing proper documentation of valid receipts and assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Organizing and maintaining financial documents and records, and assisting with administrative tasks related to finance and accounting as needed.
