Peoplegig is seeking an Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist in the Philippines. This hybrid position supports supplier invoice processing, payments, customer invoicing, and reconciliations, working closely with an offshore/onshore finance team to maintain accurate records and efficient workflows.

Ideal candidates have solid accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and experience with invoicing, payments, and reconciliations using Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks.

Qualifications

• Experience in accounts payable/receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Familiarity with invoice processing, payment preparation, customer billing, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication, with offshore/onshore coordination.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Process supplier invoices and match to purchase orders, delivery records, and other documents.
• Prepare supplier payments and assist with payment processing.
• Prepare and issue customer invoices per billing schedules.
• Allocate incoming payments and maintain cash receipt records.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support timely collections.
• Support month-end close activities and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Collaborate with onshore team to ensure consistent processes and accurate reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance workflows.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to support key financial workflows, including supplier invoice processing, payment preparation, customer invoicing, cash allocation, and account reconciliation.

This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong attention to detail, sound accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage transactions accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable (AP)

• Process supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Match invoices against purchase orders, delivery records, and other relevant documents.
• Prepare supplier payment runs and assist with payment processing.
• Monitor outstanding payables and resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure timely processing of transactions.

Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prepare and issue customer invoices in accordance with agreed billing schedules.
• Monitor customer accounts and outstanding balances.
• Allocate incoming payments and maintain accurate cash receipt records.
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate billing or payment discrepancies.
• Follow up on overdue accounts and support timely collections.
• Maintain accurate customer records and accounts receivable reports.

General Finance & Administration

• Assist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Maintain organised financial records and documentation.
• Support the preparation of routine financial reports and transaction summaries.
• Work closely with the onshore finance team to ensure consistent processes, accurate reporting, and timely resolution of queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and accuracy of finance workflows.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.
• Working knowledge of invoice processing, payment preparation, customer billing, and account reconciliations.
• Familiarity with accounting software and financial systems such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial controls.
• Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with offshore and onshore stakeholders.
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritise tasks, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Work Setup

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Work Arrangement: Hybrid
• Onsite Requirement: 2–3 days per week in the Makati office
