Job summary

JJF Frozen Foods in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely records, and support compliance with BIR, SEC, and related regulations.

You will supervise accounting staff, review accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and monthly reports; assist budgeting, forecasting, inventory control, and strengthen internal controls in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with supervisory exposure.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting, financial reporting, taxation, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and BIR regulations and tax compliance.
• Proficient in Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks or similar systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy; leadership and people-management abilities.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department.
• Review and ensure accuracy of accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash receipts, disbursements, and other transactions.
• Review entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documents.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly and periodic financial reports.
• Monitor cash flow, collections, payables, and other financial activities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure proper recording and monitoring of inventory, purchases, sales, and COGS.
• Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, and other government accounting/reporting requirements.
• Establish and improve accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and documentation.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff.
