Job summary

Cobden & Carter International is seeking a finance professional responsible for end-to-end financial audit, accounts reconciliation, and process documentation. You will coordinate internal and external audits, oversee bank reconciliations, and maintain journal entries.

The role requires a BS in Accountancy, CPA, and 3–5 years’ experience in non-life insurance or similar fields. Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Sunsystem advantage in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Accountancy required.
• Certified Public Accountant certification required.
• 3–5 years of professional experience, preferably in non-life insurance or similar role.
• Advanced Excel; knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of Sunsystem is a plus; insurance domain knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead timely and accurate Audited Financial Statements.
• Drive overall financial audit process with internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee bank reconciliation to ensure timely, accurate prep.
• Coordinate accounts reconciliation and report submission from owners.
• Maintain and document process flows, guidelines, standards and procedures.
• Prepare accurate journal entries.
• Maintain Sunsystem and XM; set up forex in Sunsystem and Policy Administration.
• Participate in system migration and system enhancements.

Job description

The position is overall responsible for financial audit, accounts reconciliation and documentation of process for General Accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures timely and accurate completion of Audited Financial Statements.
• Acts as the point person on the overall financial audit process (both internal and external). Coordinates between the auditor and different departments.

Accounts Reconciliation:

• Oversee bank reconciliation process to ensure timely and accurate preparation.
• Coordination of accounts reconciliation process and submission of reports from different account owners.

General Accounting:

• Maintenance, updating and documentation of process flow, guidelines, standards, and procedures.
• Preparation of accurate journal entries.

System Administration:

• Maintenance of Sunsytem and XM
• Forex set up in Sunsytem and Policy Administration

Projects and Ad Hoc

• Participation in system migration.
• Participation in system enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant
• At least 3-5 years professional experience, preferably in non-life insurance or in a similar role.
• Advance Excel capabilities. Knowledge in Word and Powerpoint
• Knowledge in Sunsystem is a plus
• Knowledge of non-life insurance
