Job summary

Anda Power Corporation seeks an experienced Accounting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, supervising staff, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The role supports month-end and year-end close processes.

The ideal candidate will drive process improvements, mentor staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial planning and reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required; CPA preferred.
  • 3–5 years progressive accounting experience, with 1–2 years in supervision.
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Energy or Power Industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audits by providing documentation and responses to inquiries.
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff performance.

Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced, and motivated Accounting Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our accounting department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising accounting staff, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations, and supporting the month-end and year-end close processes.

This role is critical in ensuring the integrity of financial data and plays a key role in driving process improvements and supporting strategic financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage the daily activities of the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger.
  • Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS).
  • Assist with the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Coordinate and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Assist with audits (internal and external) by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Develop and implement accounting procedures and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard assets.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate accounting staff performance; provide feedback and support their professional development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, Operations) to support business initiatives and financial planning.
  • Participate in system upgrades and ERP implementation/improvement projects.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in Energy or Power Industry is a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
