Job summary

Potato Corner is hiring an Accounting Supervisor in Mandaluyong City to lead and oversee accounts payable, posting accuracy, and monthly closings. The role requires close collaboration with the Accounting Associate and the Accounting Manager to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, at least 3 years of experience, strong Excel and MS Office skills, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts payable vouchers prepared by the Accounting Associate (supplier invoices, cash advances, revolving fund replenishments, reimbursements).
• Perform audit functions including validation and completeness of documents.
• Ensure proper departmental charging of expenses and posting of AP transactions.
• Address internal and external inquiries.
• Close financial books monthly and annually with Purchase book.
• Review monthly accruals, reversals, and pre-payment amortization.
• Perform monthly inventory count.
• Mentor and supervise staff assistants' development.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Accounting Manager.

We are currently looking for ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR.

Job Description:

1. Reviews accounts payable vouchers prepared by the Accounting Associate such as Supplier Invoices, Cash advance liquidations, Revolving fund replenishments, and Reimbursements.
2. Performs audit function (includes but not limited to validation, checking of completeness and accuracy of documents).
3. Ensures proper departmental charging of each expense transactions.
4. Checks and ensures posting of accounts payable transactions.
5. Address internal and external inquiries.
6. Reviews and ensures timely closing of financial books on a monthly and annual basis (Purchase book).
7. Reviews monthly accrual, reversal, and pre-payment amortization.
8. Performs monthly Inventory count.
9. Mentor and supervise the technical and professional development of staff assistants.
10. Perform other task that may be assigned by Accounting Manager.

Qualifications:

1. Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree (Finance/Accounting or any course related).
2. Proficient in using Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel and Word.
3. At least 3-year professional experience in Accounting and Finance.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to communicate technical terms in a clear, constructive, and professional manner.
5. With experience on big data analytics and a critical thinker.
6. High sense of urgency and should be able to maintain strict confidentiality with all the sensitive transactions in the organization.
7. Ability to multi-task and able to work under pressure and meet the deadlines required.
