Accounting Specialist: Trial Balance & GL Expert

Job description

1. Gather all entries in preparation for Trial Balance:

• - Cash Disbursement Book


• - Cash Receipts


• - Purchase Book


• - Sales Book


• - Subject for Journal Voucher

2. Preparation of Journal Voucher and recording at General Ledger.

• - Adjustments


• - Debit Memo, Credit Memo, Receivables / Payables


• - Entries not included in major books:


• Machine Parts Inventory Bank Interest Income


• Importation PDC


• Service Reports Advances

3. Recording and update transaction to the General Ledger and encode at the computer for Trial Balance.

4. Reconcile Trial Balance based on the General Ledger, make adjustment if necessary.

5. Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Withholding Tax due to BIR.

6. Prepare PDC schedule by checking and reconciling with Check Register.

7. Maintain invoices with corresponding ledgers.

8. Maintain Subsidiary Ledgers:

• - Breakdown of deductions from payroll


• - Promotions (customers)


• - Different Accounts (gasoline, etc.)

9. Prepare Quarterly Tax Credit summary.

10. Prepare Quarterly Export Sales Summary.

11. Prepare and issue Quarterly Tax Certificate for suppliers and contractors.

12. Checking and reconciliation of BIR payments (VAT).
