Job summary

Eton Properties Philippines Inc. is seeking an Accounting Specialist in Makati to join our finance team on-site. You will prepare financial reports, perform analyses, and ensure data integrity across departments while adhering to PFRS and tax regulations.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accountancy (CPA an advantage) with at least two years in financial reporting. Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel is preferred, with keen attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field; CPA certification is an advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial reporting and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and applicable tax regulations.
• Proficient in end-to-end financial reporting, account analysis, variance analysis, and financial data interpretation.
• Experience using computerized accounting systems, preferably SAP, for financial reporting and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate, timely financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules in accordance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including variance, trend, and account movement reviews to support management decision-making.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data through proper validation, reconciliation, and review processes.
• Coordinate with various departments to gather, reconcile, and verify financial information required for reporting and analysis.
• Perform account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and facilitate timely resolution of outstanding issues.
• Prepare complex financial schedules and analyses using data from multiple sources while meeting reporting deadlines.
• Identify significant financial variances, determine root causes, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and explanations related to financial transactions and balances.
• Conduct research, walkthroughs, and process reviews to strengthen reporting accuracy, compliance, and internal controls.
• Assist the Accounting Manager and Finance leadership in financial reporting activities and other accounting projects as required.

What You'll Do

As the Accounting Specialist, you will:

What You'll Bring

To thrive in this role, you'll bring the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or a related field; CPA certification is an advantage.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to interpret complex financial information.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and collaborating with stakeholders.

• Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to data integrity.

• Able to manage confidential financial information, work under pressure, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
