Job summary

Polystar Manpower Services is seeking an Accounting professional to join our Finance team on a full-time basis, based in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. The role involves recording transactions, preparing financial statements, and supporting closing processes to ensure GAAP-compliant reporting.

You will work with a dynamic team, handle accounts payable/receivable, and contribute to management reporting and audit readiness, while maintaining accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Qualifications

• A qualification in Accountancy, Finance or a related field (bachelor's degree or higher diploma)
• Professional accounting certifications such as CPA, CMA, or similar recognised credentials are preferred
• Proven experience in financial accounting and reporting, ideally within a service-based or manpower recruitment environment
• Strong proficiency in accounting software and spreadsheet applications such as Excel, QuickBooks or SAP
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies
• Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in both oral and written communication, including the ability to explain financial information clearly
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with colleagues
• Sound knowledge of tax compliance and payroll accounting is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Recording financial transactions and maintaining general ledger accounts with precision and accuracy
• Preparing and reconciling bank statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable and other balance sheet accounts
• Preparing trial balances and assisting in the compilation of financial statements
• Processing invoices, purchase orders and payment vouchers in a timely manner
• Supporting the month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analysis for management review
• Maintaining proper documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assisting with internal and external audit processes as required
• Supporting the accounts department with ad-hoc financial tasks and special projects
• Ensuring all transactions are recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or relevant accounting standards
