Job description

As an Accounting Manager with expertise in crypto, digital assets, and outsourced accounting, you will lead and manage the financial operations for our diverse group of clients. This role will involve overseeing and optimizing accounting functions related to both crypto and non-crypto holdings, coordinating outsourced accounting activities, and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee the accounting team in managing and maintaining accurate records for crypto and digital asset transactions.
• Supervise the reconciliation of crypto wallet balances, digital asset holdings, and transaction activities.
• Monitor and interpret regulatory developments related to cryptocurrencies and digital assets to advise on client's compliance.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights, strategic reporting, and guidance on crypto-related matters.
• Manage outsourced accounting processes, including vendor selection, management, and performance evaluation.
• Examine and approve financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with outside CPAs in the preparation and review of tax filings and audits related to client activities.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
• Participate in and lead cross-functional projects to enhance financial systems, procedures, and overall company performance. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure the highest level of accuracy and compliance in client operations.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Stay current with emerging trends, best practices, and regulatory changes in the digital asset space to learn, grow and provide value to clients.

Qualifications:

• At least 6 years or more experience in Finance or Accounting, with 1 to 2 years managerial experience.
• CPA equivalent (MBA or CFA) a plus.
• Must be adept in various Accounting system such as Xero, Quickbooks, Netsuite, Oracle, SAP, dynamics.
• Must be articulate and communicate clearly, without losing a keen sense of fun.
• Must be a self-starter and can work independently.
• Must have a clear sense of materiality and a keen sense of urgency, able to juggle multiple functions at the same time and stay focused on producing high-quality client and company deliverables.
• Must thrive in training, teaching, coaching and motivating staff and enjoy their company.
• Must possess a strong sense of ethics, should be trustworthy to protect a confidential client and firm information.
