Open Access BPO is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in Makati to lead accounting operations, ensure accuracy, and drive process improvements within the Finance function.

You will oversee General Ledger, Fixed Assets, audits, tax compliance, and team leadership, delivering timely management reporting. CPA and 5–7 years’ experience required; SAP B1 and advanced Excel needed. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and ensure the accuracy, compliance, and integrity of our financial reporting processes. This role will oversee General Ledger activities, Fixed Assets accounting, financial audits, tax compliance, and finance team management while driving continuous process improvements across the Finance function.

Key Responsibilities

Fixed Assets & Lease Accounting: Lead and manage Fixed Assets accounting, including lease-related accounting entries such as ARO, ROU, Finance Lease Liability, Deferred Lease Assets, and Collaterals.

General Ledger Management: Oversee General Ledger activities, ensuring timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing of accounts.

Audits & Financial Statements: Manage and coordinate the annual external audit process, including the preparation and submission of Audited Financial Statements.

Tax & Regulatory Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and full compliance with regulatory requirements, including PEZA and BOI reporting.

Reconciliations: Perform and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and financial controls.

Reporting & Analysis: Prepare management reports, financial analyses, and ad-hoc reports as required.

Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop Finance team members.

Special Projects: Support organizational objectives through additional duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy.

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Experience & Core Competencies

5–7 years of progressive accounting experience across the following areas:

Accounts Payable

Budgeting

Internal Controls

At least 2 years of managerial experience.

Proven experience in leading, supervising, or managing a team.

Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Technical Skills

Hands-on experience using SAP Business One (SAP B1).

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred / Advantages

Experience in PEZA, BOI, and BOC reporting and compliance.

Experience working within ISO-certified organizations.
