Job summary

SsangYong Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd in the Philippines is seeking an experienced accounting and finance professional to oversee daily operations and ensure timely reporting to HQ in South Korea.

The role requires strong knowledge of budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis within a construction context. The ideal candidate will manage the general ledger, AP/AR, and bank reconciliations, while ensuring compliance with applicable standards and statutory requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting and cash flow management.
• Proficient in ERP systems with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Financial Reporting.
• Experience with SAGE, SAP or other ERP-based accounting software is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s daily accounting and finance operations.
• Submit Management Reports and Financial Statements to HQ, South Korea, in a timely manner.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports and financial analysis.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with HQ on all accounting matters and supervise the accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the company’s daily accounting and finance operations.
• Responsible for the timely submission of required Management Reports and Financial Statements to HQ, South Korea
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and financial analysis.
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• To co-work with HQ, South Korea on all accounting matters.
• Monitor project accounting, construction project costs, budgets, and financial performance.
• Manage budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS), GST, corporate tax, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and other financial institutions.
• Supervise and guide the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely completion of accounting duties.
• Maintain effective internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Utilize ERP systems and accounting software to improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Perform other accounting and finance duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles ,financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
• Proficient in ERP systems, including accounting modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience with SAGE, SAP, or other ERP-based accounting software is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Singapore accounting standards, GST, corporate tax, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in construction or project accounting is preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
