Job summary

Scan Global Logistics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a senior Finance & Accounting leader to oversee the full finance function for the Singapore entity and regional offices. The role involves reviewing financials, preparing management reports, and ensuring timely payroll processing.

You will drive statutory compliance, implement IFRS standards, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts across the regional BUs. A strong accounting background and leadership experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of international accounting standards (IAS/IFRS)
• Experience reviewing financial statements and balance sheets
• Ability to explain month-end variances and budgets with stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Review financials and Balance Sheet of Singapore entity.
• Analyze and explain monthly financial performance and variances vs Budget/Forecast.
• Prepare management reports and financial analyses for key stakeholders.
• Oversee timely and accurate monthly payroll for Singapore entity and regional employees.
• Provide administrative support including onboarding/offboarding and office admin.
• Support recruitment administration including interview coordination and budgeting/forecasting.
• Review financials and Balance Sheet of Singapore entity.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements (statutory accounts).
• Manage and review credit control and GL activities.
• Supervise Finance SSC team and ensure effectiveness.
• Support ad-hoc projects.

Job description

Duties & responsibilities:

• Full spectrum of Finance & Accounting function in Singapore entity (included local operations & regional office BUs).


• Review financials and Balance Sheet of Singapore entity.


• Analyze and explain the monthly financial performance and major variances against Budget and Forecast.


• Prepare Management reports and financial analysis to key stakeholders.


• Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate completion of monthly payroll for Singapore entity and relevant regional employees based in Singapore.


• Provide administrative support to the Singapore entity, including coordination of employee onboarding and offboarding activities and general office administration where required.


• Support recruitment administration for the Singapore entity, including interview coordination, candidate scheduling, documentation and liaison with People & Culture on hiring-related activities. Drive the quarterly forecasts and annual budget exercise.


• Review financials and Balance Sheet of Singapore entity.


• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, corporate policies and other regulatory requirements (e.g. timely completion of Statutory Accounts).


• Manage and review credit control and customer collection matters; payments and general ledger activities.


• Manage Finance SSC team and ensure effectiveness


• Support ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

• A recognized degree or professional qualification in Accountancy


• At least 5 to 8 years of working experience


• Conversant in International Accounting Standards/Singapore Financial Reporting Standards


• Knowledge of D365 and TMFF system will be great advantage


• Able to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines


• Strong initiative & ability to work with minimum supervision


• Resilient in closing process gaps and reconciliations; ready to roll up sleeves


• Good interpersonal and communication skills


• Freight forwarding industry or similar fast paced working environments is a must
