About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join HERB FOOD SOLUTIONS INC. in Talisay City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and accounting functions of our organisation. As Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing the accounting team, ensuring financial accuracy, and providing strategic financial insights that support the company's growth and operational objectives. This position is integral to maintaining the financial health and compliance standards of HERB FOOD SOLUTIONS INC.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the accounting team, including staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and professional development

• Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, ledgers, and journals

• Ensure timely and accurate processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and reconciliations

• Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports for management review

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies

• Manage the general ledger and coordinate month-end and year-end closing procedures

• Oversee payroll processing, tax withholdings, and employee benefit administration

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy

• Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants as required

• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decision-making

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• 5+ years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, GAAP, and financial reporting standards

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent understanding of tax compliance and payroll processing

• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a team effectively

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred

• Experience in the food or manufacturing industry is advantageous
