As we continue to expand our operations in the Philippines and globally, we are seeking an experienced and driven Accounting Manager to strengthen our finance function and support our next stage of growth.
Position Summary
The Accounting Manager will lead the company's accounting and financial compliance activities while supervising a team of 3-4 accounting staff members and coordinating with outsourced accounting service providers.
This role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), improving cash collection performance, and supporting management with reliable financial information.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations
- Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of accounting records and financial reports.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)&applicable regulations.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Monitor financial performance and identify risks, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for external bookkeeping and accounting service providers.
- Review and validate accounting reports, schedules, and tax filings prepared by the partners.
- Ensure deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Coordinate resolution of accounting and compliance issues.
Accounts Receivable and Collection Management
- Lead accounts receivable monitoring and collection activities.
- Track aging reports and collection performance.
- Follow up with hospitals, government agencies, and institutions regarding outstanding balances.
- Develop strategies to improve collection efficiency and cash flow.
- Escalate collection risks and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
Tax, Audit, and Compliance
- Oversee tax compliance and statutory reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies.
- Prepare documentation and schedules required for audits and regulatory reviews.
- Ensure compliance with BIR, SEC, local government, and other applicable regulations.
- Supervise and develop three accounting team members.
- Review work quality and ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Promote a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience 2-3 years.
- Strong knowledge of PFRS, taxation, and Philippine regulatory requirements.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable management and collections.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Zoho books.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- Experience handling government-related receivables or institutional accounts.(preferred)
