Position Summary:
· The Senior Accounting Staff will play a key role in overseeing and managing the financial activities of the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of financial principles. The Senior Accounting Staff will collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with relevant regulations.
Responsibilities:
- · The Senior Accounting Staff isresponsibletocarryoutaccounting and finance department duties as follows:
- Payment Processing: Process and execute authorized payment/purchase requests, reimbursement and liquidations thru electronic payment means in compliance with internal controls and protocols.
- Cash Transactions: Verify the completeness and accuracy of all incoming and outgoing cash transactions against the General Ledger (GL) to ensure correct recording and classification.
- Daily Cash Position Report: Prepare and distribute the consolidated daily cash position report, accurately tracking balances across all corporate bank accounts.
- Daily Journal Entries: Monitor the recording of daily transactions (sales, purchases, expenses, etc.) and ensure the entries are correct and use appropriate accounts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform complex bank reconciliations for all accounts daily and monthly, identifying and resolving all discrepancies, unidentified credits, and unexplained variances promptly.
- Accounts Receivable Management: Manage outstanding accounts receivable and sales invoices, monitor collection status, and confirm payments.
- Invoice Issuance: Monitor the issuance of sales invoices to clients for sales or services, and ensure payment is made within the due date. Ensure that all details are correct and amounts are properly accounted for.
- Monthly Account Analysis: Prepare management reports and variance reports for review of the Accounting Manager and for submission/report to Management.
- Assist the Accounting Manager in the preparation of Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Reports. Provide justifications for variances and unusual increases or decreases on accounts.
- Annual Closing: Assist the Accounting Manager in the closing of books and transactions for the entire year, prepare final financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, etc.), and prepare documents for external audits and submission to tax authorities.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting.
· More than 3 years of experience in accounting and/or finance roles
· Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
