AGRI EXIM GLOBAL INC. in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, leading the accounting team, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will manage closing processes, supervise general and cost accounting, ensure proper internal controls, coordinate with auditors, and deliver timely financial analyses to plant management for decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy is required.
• 8–10 years of accounting experience preferred.
• CPA certification is preferred.
• Experience in food manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Full-Cycle Close Management expertise.
• GAAP or IFRS mastery required.
• Financial statements preparation proficiency.
• ERP system proficiency required.
• Advanced Excel skills essential.
• Tax compliance and internal controls knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Close the books on a timely, accurate basis according to closing schedules.
• Oversee daily operations of General and Cost Accounting, ensuring proper recording and classification of transactions.
• Oversee inventory reconciliation and ensure strong internal controls.
• Monitor and review accounting entries, documentation, and system reports for accuracy.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and propose corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with auditors.
• Implement accounting policies and ensure internal controls are met.
• Provide plant management with accurate periodic financial reports for decision making.

About the role

The Accounting Manager is a managerial position responsible for overseeing the accounting operations of the company. This role involves ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting teams, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the timely, accurate, and complete closing of the company's books of accounts in accordance with established closing schedules

• Oversee the daily operations of the General Accounting and Cost Accounting sections, ensuring that accounting transactions are properly recorded, supported, and classified

• Oversee the timely and accurate reconciliation of inventory and ensure that adequate internal control is in place

• Monitor and review accounting and related entries, documentation and system reports for accuracy and completeness

• Resolve accounting discrepancies and prepare reports of findings, outlining discrepancies and recommending corrective/preventive action

• Ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements and coordinate with external and internal auditors on matters related to financial accounting

• Implement accounting policies and procedures and ensure that internal controls are met

• Provide plant management with accurate periodic financial reports for decision making and control purposes

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy

• Minimum of 8 - 10 years of accounting experience

• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant

• Preferable experience in food manufacturing industry
