RetailWise in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Finance Leader to oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting. The role requires a CPA with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including people management, and a strong track record in retail or FMCG environments.
The successful candidate will implement robust accounting controls, partner with the finance team on process improvements, and translate financial data into strategic insights for management.
Responsibilities
Oversee the company’s day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and timely month-end closing.
Prepare, review, and analyze accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, providing meaningful insights into the company’s financial performance.
Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and integrity by ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
Partner with the finance team to identify opportunities for improvement and implement efficient accounting procedures, systems, and internal controls.
Translate financial data into actionable insights and recommendations that help management make informed business and strategic decisions.
Supervise, coach, and mentor accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and positive team environment.
Take an active role in special projects and business initiatives, bringing your financial expertise to projects that support the company’s continued growth and success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with experience in a management or leadership capacity; experience in the retail industry or FMCG is highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, and developing accounting teams.
