Job summary

Ramada Encore by Wyndham-Makati is seeking a senior paralegal to lead and develop the paralegal team on site in Makati. You will establish efficient processes, coordinate with attorneys, and manage document preparation and governance activities to support the Legal Department.

You will oversee contract administration, regulatory filings, and risk management, while maintaining confidential records and enabling effective collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the paralegal team, including workload allocation, performance management, coaching, and training.
  • Establish and maintain efficient paralegal processes, procedures, templates, and document-management systems.
  • Review and coordinate the preparation of legal documents, agreements, notices, letters, filings, and other legal correspondence.
  • Support attorneys and the Legal Department with legal research, document review, due diligence, and preparation of case or matter files.
  • Manage contract administration, including tracking contracts, renewals, obligations, approvals, and key deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date corporate, legal, regulatory, and contractual records.
  • Coordinate with government agencies, regulators, external counsel, consultants, and other third parties as required.
  • Support corporate governance activities, including board and shareholder documentation, resolutions, minutes, and statutory records.
  • Assist with litigation and dispute-related matters by coordinating documentation, evidence, filings, correspondence, and external counsel requirements.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory filing deadlines and ensure timely submission of required documents.
  • Assist in identifying legal and compliance risks and elevate material issues to the appropriate legal counsel or management.
  • Develop and maintain legal trackers, dashboards, reports, and management information.
  • Ensure confidentiality and appropriate handling of sensitive legal and corporate information.
  • Identify opportunities to improve legal operations through technology, automation, standardization, and process improvement.
  • Collaborate with Finance, HR, Procurement, Compliance, Operations, Sales, and other departments on legal matters.
  • Ensure the paralegal function operates in accordance with applicable laws, company policies, and professional standards.
  • Perform other legal-support and administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Legal or General Counsel.
