Job summary

OMRON Group in Makati is seeking a motivated accounting professional to support financial reporting governance and IFRS compliance across assigned Working Partners. You will review monthly closings, reports, and variances, while collaborating with international stakeholders to drive accuracy and governance.

The role focuses on leveraging ERP tools and financial reporting systems, supporting internal controls, and ensuring high-quality financial reporting for the group.

Qualifications

• Strong IFRS knowledge and ability to apply accounting standards.
• Experience in month-end closing, reporting, and analysis.
• Exposure to multinational/shared services environments is an advantage.
• Willing to work on-site in Makati 1–2 days a week.

We are the shared services arm of OMRON, supporting our global operations through efficient and reliable service delivery. We are looking for a motivated professional to join our team and work closely with international stakeholders to help drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

The primary responsibility of this role is to support financial reporting governance and accounting compliance for assigned Working Partners (WPs). The role focuses on reviewing monthly closing activities, ensuring adherence to IFRS and group accounting standards, and supporting high-quality financial reporting for the group.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Month-End Close

• Review monthly closing journal entries for assigned Working Partners (WPs)
• Review monthly financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with group accounting standards
• Analyze monthly financial data movements and identify significant variances
• Support the month-end closing process to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Accounting Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and internal group accounting regulations
• Review lease computations and financial reporting schedules to ensure proper accounting treatment
• Provide technical accounting guidance and support to Accounting & Finance Departments of assigned entities

Stakeholder Support

• Provide expertise and assistance to Working Partners across assigned entities
• Coordinate with local finance teams to resolve accounting and reporting issues
• Support the implementation of best practices to mitigate accounting and reporting risks

Payments & Operational Support

• Review and approve daily GPS payments for assigned entities
• Ensure proper governance and compliance in payment approval processes

Audit & Controls

• Support internal audits and Japanese Sarbanes-Oxley (JSOX) compliance activities
• Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and documentation standards
• Support initiatives to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of closing and reporting processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 4–6+ years of experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, or Audit
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Experience in month-end closing, financial reporting, and financial analysis
• Experience supporting multinational or shared services operations is an advantage
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools is preferred
• Willing to work in a collaborative, shared services environment
• Must be comfortable reporting on-site 1–2 times per week in Makati
