Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd in the Philippines seeks an experienced accountant to manage a portfolio of client accounts, perform month-end closings, and review management accounts. You will supervise a small team handling AR, AP and payroll in a outsourced finance setup, and consolidate group accounts.

The role also involves preparing financial statements, addressing complex accounting issues, and contributing to automation initiatives while handling ad-hoc assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience in accounting with external audit exposure.
• Experience with outsourcing firms is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

• Handle full set of accounts of a portfolio of clients individually or supported by assistants;
• Handle Month end closing for a portfolio of companies;
• Review of monthly management accounts and reporting packages;
• Handle/supervise a team of junior accountants/executives to handle day to day outsourced finance function, including AR, AP processing and payroll;
• Consolidation of simple to complex group accounts;
• Compilation of financial statements;
• Assist in providing financial management services;
• Solve complex accounting issues from time to time;
• Advising clients on matters relating to finance operation, accounting system, accounting treatment and reporting when necessary;
• Participate in automation project / opportunity to lead automation project for those with relevant experience; and
• Undertake ad-hoc assignment assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• At least 5 years experience in similar field, with some years of external audit experience;
• Experience working with other outsourcing firm is an added advantage;
• Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or their equivalent;
• Have clear thinking, committed, meticulous, good time management, resourceful, proactive, able to work independently, effective verbal and written communication skill, honest and able to run with the ball;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; and
• Those with IT background/experience especially in modern automation tools are highly desired.
