Job summary

MEC Networks Corporation is seeking an Accountant to support finance operations and ensure accurate financial records. On-site in Cubao, Quezon City, Mondays to Fridays, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, you will manage general ledger, journal entries, and financial reporting to uphold compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance and CPA certification, with 2–5 years of relevant experience. You will support month-end close, tax compliance, audits, and drive improvements in accounting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification required.
• 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements; excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Accurate Financial Records: Prepare, analyze, and maintain general ledger accounts, journal entries, and financial statements to ensure accurate and complete financial reporting.
• Support Financial Closing: Lead or assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, ensuring all required accounts and reports are completed accurately and on time.
• Ensure Tax & Accounting Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and accounting standards, and prepare the necessary documentation and schedules for regulatory requirements.
• Support Audit Activities: Prepare required schedules, documents, and supporting files for internal and external audits, and coordinate with auditors as needed.
• Improve Accounting Processes: Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to accounting workflows, processes, and controls to improve accuracy and efficiency.

About the Role:

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support our finance operations and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. In this role, you will play an important part in maintaining reliable financial information, supporting timely financial closing activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to continuous improvements in our accounting processes.

What You'll Do:

Who We're Looking For:

• Education: Graduate of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is required.

• Experience & Track Record: At least 2–5 years of progressive experience in general accounting or public accounting.

• Key Skills & Expertise: Strong organizational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail. Must have strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, tax compliance, and audit requirements, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Work Setup: Willing to work on-site in Cubao, Quezon City, Mondays to Fridays (09:00 AM – 06:00 PM).
