Job summary

BeepXtra Philippines, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support general ledger maintenance and financial reporting. You will post journal entries, handle AP/AR, and assist with month-end and year-end closing under supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Accounting and 1–3 years of experience, proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel, and the ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of accounting experience or internships.
• Proficiency with accounting software QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Ability to ensure accuracy in financial records and reports.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the general ledger.
• Post journal entries, including adjustments and accruals.
• Review and verify transactions for accuracy and completeness.
• Process accounts payable, including verifying invoices and preparing payments.
• Assist in managing accounts receivable by invoicing clients, tracking payments, and following up on overdue accounts.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable with bank statements.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Support the creation of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements under supervision.
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns (e.g., VAT, sales tax, corporate taxes).
• Ensure tax-related documents are accurate and submitted on time.
• Help with month-end closing and year-end closing activities, including audits.
• Maintain accurate financial records and files in compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures (GAAP or IFRS).
• Review employee expense reports and ensure proper categorization.
• Provide general accounting support and assist in ad-hoc analysis or reporting tasks.
