Job summary

Klaiya in Manila is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to join our team on-site. You will prepare and record journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in accountancy/finance, 1–2 years of experience, and familiarity with MS Excel and common accounting software. The position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and working under deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or Finance
• 1–2 years accounting experience preferred (fresh graduates may apply)
• Knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and BIR compliance is an advantage
• Able to handle confidential information
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
• Willing to work in Binondo, Manila
• Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with accounting systems (QuickBooks, SAP, Xero)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and record journal entries for accruals, adjustments, and amortizations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and general ledger balances.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable balances.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Support the closing process and ensure timely submission of reports.
• Maintain schedules and supporting documents for audit and management review.
• Ensure all accounting records are properly filed and maintained.
• Assist in preparing documents for internal and external audits.
• Record and monitor operating expenses, advances, and reimbursements.
• Validate expense reports and ensure alignment with budget policies.
• Participate in process improvements for accounting efficiency.
• Coordinate with other departments for financial data gathering.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
