Job summary

SM Retail is seeking a detail-oriented junior accountant to support end-to-end accounting processes and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic work environment. You will assist with receivables, payables, bank reconciliations, and reporting while building a solid foundation in accounting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• Fresh graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
• Experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Sales Audit, Inventory, or General Ledger is a plus.
• Willing to be assigned to the SM Retail Head Office in Pasay.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and issue Statements of Account to customers.
• Ensure timely collection of receivables and process payables.
• Perform bank reconciliations and validate financial transactions.
• Organize financial data into clear, accurate reports.
• Analyze movements in account balances.
• Maintain updated and accurate financial records.
• Prepare tax returns (Withholding Tax, Final Tax, VAT, etc.).
• Support the team with other accounting-related tasks as needed.
